The Lighthouse Gallery

Mac and Sue who manage the Lighthouse Gallery came to visit Bluff one day and never left. They lived in The Lighthouse Bungalow to begin with and then one day when traveling into town they saw a for sale sign going up on what is now The Lighthouse Gallery. They decided take a look and immediately fell in love with the building. Sue has a love of photography and making pictures and so they opened the gallery and now there are approximately twenty four artists displaying a wide variety of art work. Mac and Sue live upstairs but could not bear to sell their lovely home so as a compromise they now let other people enjoy staying there.

People are welcome to come and visit the gallery and to stay a while drinking the best coffee in town and just getting warm while listening to Mac’s stories. Both local and from his days of traveling previous life times.

Bluff has many things to do including fishing charters, loads of walking and biking trails, bird watching and you can fish off the wharf, some times catching a fine salmon.

The locals are friendly and there are several restaurants and a couple of friendly pubs where you can meet them and while away the time listening to tales of Bluff’s early years.

Visit the new information centre built by Sherree and Gavin who also, like Mac and Sue came to visit and never left.
